Shenmin Zhu received her
Master degree in 1995 from Hubei University at Wuhan. In 2001, she obtained her
Ph.D. in polymer from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, with Professor Deyue Yan
as the supervisor. From 2002 to 2004, she worked as a JSPS fellow in AIST,
Japan. In 2005, she joined the School of Materials Science and Engineering,
Shanghai Jiao Tong University as an associate Professor. Then, promoted to be
Professor in 2010. She obtained “New Century Excellent Talents in University”, by
the Ministry of Education (2008). Professor Zhu’s research interests are in the
areas of synthesis of biomimetic materials, design and fabrication of porous
carbon and its applications in energy storage and environmental, graphene-based
materials as thermal conductivity. Her research has resulted in more than 150
international refereed journal papers, and have been cited by the others for
more than 4000 times.
